159/365: Sunday Song and Photograph: In My Dreams

8th of June

There was a time some time ago
When every sunrise meant a sunny day, oh a sunny day
But now when the morning light shines in
It only disturbs the dreamland where I lay, oh where I lay
I used to thank the lord when I'd wake
For life and love and the golden sky above me
But now I pray the stars will go on shinin'
You see in my dreams you love me

Daybreak is a joyful time
Just listen to the songbird harmonies, oh the harmonies
But, I wish the dawn would never come
I wish there was silence in the trees, oh the trees
If only I could stay asleep
At least I could pretend you're thinkin' of me
'Cause nighttime is the one time I am happy
You see in my dreams

We climb and climb and at the top we fly
Let the world go on below us
We are lost in time
And I don't know really what it means
All I know is that you love me
In my dreams

I keep hopin' one day I'll awaken
And somehow she'll be lying by my side
And as I wonder if the dawn is really breakin'
She touches me and suddenly I'm alive

in my dreams

And, we climb and climb and at the top we fly
Let the world go on below us
We are lost in time
And I don't know really what it means
All I know is that you love me
In my dreams

And we climb and climb and at the top we fly
Let the world go on below us
We are lost in time
And I don't know really what it means
All I know is that you love me
In my dreams, oh oh oh oh
In my dreams

The photograph is taken at a local park while I’m cooling down from a short run on a weekend. The insects scared me at first but then their behavior got me curious so I take a photo using my mobile phone.

The song just pops out of my mind while I’m taking the photo. One of my favorites from REO Speed Wagon and is my current LSS.

  2. Yep I'm preparing for a 10k run on the 15th and next month for the milo marathon. It's been quite a while since my last run and it's been really tough. Sigh...

  3. Ms. B! Nothing really beats running in the weekends and some 80's classic. Although I'm more on listening the classics than running in the morning. hehehehe! Wish I were as fit and active as you. I'm becoming a full-blown slob!

Iba talaga kapag ang insects ay accompanied ng lyrics ng kanta. they become less creepy. hahaha!

    1. Naku Trips I'm becoming a full blown slob too that's why I'm trying to be back as "fit". Ang tabah koh!

LOL! Ewan ko ba kung bakit yang kanta na yan ang nag play sa isip ko while taking that photo. But I really love the lyrics o this song. It's so poetic.
